Des Collinson is the Chairman of Graceworks Myanmar. He is founding partner of a chartered accountancy business in Adelaide and has been in practice for 40 years. As Chairman he oversees the corporate governance of GWM and the implementation of its vision. He is a director of Australia Medic Alert Foundation and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Peter Simmons is the CEO of GWM which he founded in March 2004. He is an associate of the Australian Institute of Management and has served on the board of Teen Challenge Victoria and as Chairman of Youth for Christ Victoria. He has an extensive business background and is former winner of the Collie Trust Foundation scholarship. He is currently studying for a Masters of International and Community Development at Deakin University, Melbourne.
Ian Neil spent more than 30 years as a radio and television journalist. After being News Director at two Melbourne radio stations he joined the Nine Network before moving to World Vision as Media Director. Ian joined the board of GraceWorks four years ago and is currently board secretary.
Ron Carpenter works as a solutions architect in the computer division of a major insurance company. Currently holding the position of treasurer and public officer for GraceWorks, Ron has visited Myanmar 3 times, often assisting local GraceWorks staff in Myanmar with administration.

Laura Simmons holds a degree in Criminal Justice. She is a senior program officer with a Government Department. She has been to Myanmar five times and directed the establishing of our first Education centre in Yangon in 2005. Her role on the board has included the drafting of our child protection and gender equity policies.

 

Jennifer Webb studied at Monash University completing a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science(Honours - Zoology) and a Diploma of Education. She oversees the GraceWorks education programs. She has been to Myanmar 4 times and speaks regularly on behalf of GraceWorks at various functions.

Trevor Wilson was Australian Ambassador to Myanmar from 2000 - 2003. He spent 35 years as an Australian diplomat and public servant before retiring and taking up a position as Visiting Fellow on Myanmar at the Australian National University in Canberra, where he has been co-convener of the Myanmar/Burma Update Conference since 2004.
