Sadly, Myanmar has one of the highest malnutrition rates in the world. In fact, much of the population survives on one meal of rice per day - a statistic further depressed by increases in the cost of rice and food transportation, as well as the recent cyclone disaster.
The result of all this...a higher number of infections, diseases, growth retardation in children and other dire medical issues.
GraceWork's Food Program provides funds for basic nutritious meals for the adults and children who attend GraceWorks Education Centres.
Unfortunately, due to funding limitations, GraceWorks is only able to assist around 700 orphans - a small number compared to the true magnitude of children in need of assistance.
For only $30 per month, GraceWorks is able to provide food, school fees and medical care for one child.
Please donate today and help GraceWorks take care of the ever growing number of orphans in Myanmar.
